Hamiota Fair Shows Strong Return With High Entries
The 44th Hamiota Agricultural Society fair drew larger crowds and many more entries than four years ago. A health clinic led by Dr Leishman of Winnipeg and a WI sale of work by the blind highlighted the day, with bands, hospital fundraiser tag days, and a junior livestock tournament won by Rivers and Crandall off to strong showings.

Mr and Mrs Moore and family returned to Winnipeg after visiting brother in law Alex and John L bb ali Jos Snider and Wm McAdam of Conquest Sask renewing old acquaintances. Miss Jessie McGhee spent holidays in Winnipeg and Brandon returning home. Master Douglas Laird from Winnipeg arrived to visit uncle and aunt S Laird. A few fields of barley were cut and harvesting expected to be general by midweek as wheat looks fair but oats are light.
