Hamiota Fair a Great Success
The 34th annual Hamiota Agricultural Exhibition drew a large crowd Friday and set records for livestock display and judging. Noted visitors include J H Evans deputy minister of agriculture and Hon A Prefontaine, with strong praise for the district’s livestock progress and well organized grounds and facilities. Leaders A Little and W E Rogers oversaw a comprehensive show featuring cattle, horses, grain and dairy displays, with 52 babies examined by Dr T C Brereton and meals provided by the hospital ladies aid. Ribbons were awarded across Clydesdale, Percheron, heavy and light draughts, mares, foals, and various other classes, highlighting excellent stock and community effort.
