A quiet wedding took place at United Church Manse Pipe Stone on July 20 1935 Annie Grace McCounnell with Froderick Walter Decker, ceremony by Rev A I Carruthers. Afterward the couple left by motor for western points.

Two brides elect of August received multiple showers. Mrs Alex Kerr hosted tea July 13 for Margaret Keough as guests admired gifts. Ida and Elizabeth Van Male organized a miscellaneous shower July 15. Cards and kitchen shower followed for Jessie McNeil July 18 with twenty guests.
