Bray Clan Holds Reunion at Hamiota Home
Reunion of Bray clan held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Wombs in Hamiota on Sunday July 20 with 224 attendees. Relatives traveled from Calgary Moose Jaw Sask The Pas Portage la Prairie Winnipeg Brandon Reston Tilston among others. Respects were paid to Mr. and Mrs. Geo Bray for their anniversary and Mr and Mrs Ab Richardson Brandon alsoMarked wedding anniversary. A luncheon was served on the lawn and supper music provided by Mr. and Mrs. Max White Reston.

Golden Anniversary Celebrated by Geo Bray Family
Mr and Mrs Geo Bray of Hamiota celebrated their Golden Anniversary on July 15 at the Oak River farm home now owned by Ron Bray and family. Six sons and three daughters attended a family supper. Manson acted as emcee and a T V set was presented by Don Bray. Sixty eight friends signed the register. The couple, born in Bruce County Ontario, were married in 1908 and moved to Oak River in 1923 before retiring to Hamiota in 1953. They have twenty three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Manitoba 4-H Council Expands Exchange With Iowa and Minnesota
The Manitoba 4-H Club Council sends 34 members to Jones County Iowa for a week long farming life exchange backed by the extension service of the Manitoba Department of Agriculture. Leaders Helgi Rusman Mrs Stanley Roberts and Alex Stowe accompany the group which includes 16 girls and 16 boys with strong 4-H records. They depart Winnipeg July 20 and return July 28 after living with local 4-H families. A similar Iowa group will visit Manitoba next year and 36 Manitoba 4-H members will attend the Minnesota State Fair in August to continue exchanges. Mavis Yorke and Dick Heapy are among the participants.

The afternoon W M S auxiliary met July 15 in the Ladies Parlor of Hamiota United Church. Mrs W A McConnell spoke on Christian Stewardship, stressing devotion of life time talents and possessions to God. Mrs Thomson led worship. Mrs A Dixon spoke on The Bible Speaks and urged Bible study for guidance.
