The widow of William Kerr died at her son Roy Kerrs home on Tuesday July 14 at age 65. Born Listowel Ontario she moved with her parents to Hamiota district in 1883. Survived by daughter Mrs Jas Mair three sons David Pope Roy Hamita George Vancouver BC three sisters Mrs W Kidd Maryfield Sask Mrs H Yoke Toronto Mrs A Gray Hamita and brother Dave Henderson Crandall. Funeral from the residence Wednesday July 15 with interment in Hamiota Cemetery.

Pigs Realize $177 For Army Cigarettes Draw
The Hamilta Unit of the Army and Navy Veterans in Canada thanks supporters for a Fair Day raffle. A pair of pigs was won by Clifford Angus who sold them and turned the $177 to the Army for cigarettes for the boys overseas. To add names to the cigarette list contact secretary J McMillan.
