Hamiota opens Aquatic Centre during busy community day
July 15 marked a busy grand opening for the Hamiota Aquatic Centre in tandem with a regional 4-H horse show, a downtown chamber lunch, and a evening dance. Mayor Al Robertson presided with Reeve Ray Lints and MLA Len Derkach offering congratulations, as volunteers and locals celebrated the facility with a ribbon cutting and first swims. A beef on a bun fundraiser raised over 220 dollars for the pool, while entertainment featured Musical Interludes and local performers.
