Park Opens Cairn Unveiled At Shoal Lake Narrows
The Marshbail Chambers park dedication and cairn unveiling drew about 2000 attendees at Shoal Lake Narrows on the south shore of Shoal Lake. The event honored Andrew and Mrs Marshall Chambers and 1870s 80s pioneers with remarks by officials including W C Crabb MLA F E Bell MLA and Hon B Griffiths. The cairn at the park entrance bears the inscription honoring the pioneers and the property deeded by Mrs Wm Chambers of Hamiton Man to Shoal Sage Rural Municipality. The old Hudeco Bay trail site covers 63 acres with lake frontage and was marked by the Shoal Lake brass band.
