On Wednesday evening July 12 1916 at the Mair home the Mair daughter Hilda married Wilford A Buchanan of Oshawa Ontario Rev E Turkington officiated The bride wore Duchesse satin with Maltese lace and gorgette crepe The groom's sister Lulu M Buchanan played the wedding march Twenty five guests enjoyed a buffet luncheon Afterward the newlyweds left for Winnipeg then Oshawa Ontario for home Best wishes from friends.
Funeral held July 10 1916 from Newcombe Street Vancouver BC to Fraser Cemetery. Rev Melvin and Dr Dunn led services praising Lorimer family life across Scotland Ontario Manitoba and British Columbia. Dunn cited his industrious thrift faith and Scottish humor shown by a devoted life to Christ and family worship before death. He and his wife raised a faithful household with God guiding his steps.
