Advertises a sale at Nyal and Rexall offering a large bottle of white shoe cleaner and a pair of white shoe laces for 9 cents. Also promotes Gardenia face powder and perfume in large sizes for 9 cents as a combined offer.
Christ Church volunteers plan a Wednesday July 23 picnic with 2 p.m. departure from the church. Camp Shilo unit members return home shirtless after two weeks away. Hamiota Fair July 18 features Softball tournaments with 1st prize 15 dollars and 2nd 10 dollars. Army and Navy Veterans Unit 243 holds a bazaar in October. Memorial Service July 20 at 7:30 p.m. features Speaker J A Glen. No parade July 18 due to fair. parade resumes July 20 and weekly parades restart July 25. Dress khaki and ribbons.
