It also mentions a reunion of the 45th Battalion in Brandon and a July play, plus a school district tender and Boy Scout schedule at Sandy Beach Shoal Lake.
Tenders are invited for van drivers on Routes 1 through 5 in Oakier Consolidated School District No 260. Tenders will be received by the undersigned until Saturday July 24 1920. Plans and information can be obtained from the district office.
A July farewell party for Miss E. Blackburn at Dr. and Mrs. Reid’s home honors her departure. Guests expected rain but brought their own raindrops as playful “weatherman” skits entertained. Tea, refreshments, and singing followed, with plans for her upcoming marriage in early August.
Princess Mary Gift Boxes were allocated to JH Squibb for Hamiota Veterans' Association members. A call advised members to apply for about 48 shillings as possible. The Summer School at the Narrows runs five days with turnout lower than prior years. Crandall, Hamiota, and Rapid City Boy Scouts camp nearby and enjoying their time. The Prize List for the Hamiota Boys' and Girls' Club Fair will be prepared this week and donations or prizes are welcome for printing.
Notice invites sealed tenders for painting the exterior of the Council Chamber Building and Belfry with two coats. Tenders must be in the hands of the undersigned by July 31st inst.
