Six boarders are sought at $2500 per month at the Central Hotel in Hamiota. The notice urges district residents to enter the Hamiota Fair, with a week left to secure prize money by exhibiting. It encourages early entries to make the fair a record year.
The Ladies' Flospital Aid announces a Friday July 22 Fair Day event in the dining hall on Fair Day. They seek bread biscuits hens pies butter eggs pickles lettuce and potatoes with a pot of cooked vegetables welcomed. Donors should leave potatoes at the dining hall and batter and eggs at McDonnell Bros office by Wednesday night. The group cannot canvas everyone and asks for usual contributions. Dishes volunteers are urged to assist with washing up for at least half an hour.
Local notices report holiday visits from Dora Bennett Euphemie and Pearl Riddell and other families. Teaching position filled for Shoal Lake term. church services in Christ Church and Hamiota United Church schedule. Death of Robe Thomson noted. numerous visits and travels among residents to Saskatoon, Oshawa, Toronto, and Colonsay. Raspberry Social planned. Child Health Conference advertised with Dr Brereton and nurse in charge. Correction to Hamiota Horticultural Society prize list included.
A large Saturday crowd at Jue Norton's enjoyed horse races and other sports. Isabel and Elizabeth Siupson returned to Kansack Sask after visiting Mr and Mrs D Hern. Milne, Jobo 70, funeral at Lavinia Man July 6 1932. interment Ham iota. Siren purchased by Village Council to replace town bell and serve as fire alarm. Jubilee picnic at Scotia drew many in yellow ribbons noting fifty years in the country. Scotia ladies served a fulfilling supper.
