Rose Finkbeiner Celebrates 100th Birthday in Brandon
More than 200 friends and family gathered June 24 at Dinsdale Personal Care Home Brandon to honor Rose Finkbeiner on her 100th birthday. Grandsons Don and Doug MC'd a tribute with greetings from Mayor Ken Burgess and other dignitaries. Born 1889 near Carlingvale she lived 73 years in Isabella district and was active in church community and Red Cross. She has five children 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren with siblings in Calgary and Winnipeg.

Ten senior 4-H members from Shoal Lake District join peers from Surrey BC for a ten day Open House Canada Exchange funded by the Department of the Secretary of State. BC visitors arrive July 11 to stay ten days with events including Clear Lake Shilo Base Thundermountain and a fair.
