Local Sports Day Boosts Pride at Birtle Fair
In Birtle on July first an estimated 5000 residents enjoyed a large sports day with six Hamiota area ball teams and a busy crowd despite a light rain. Vern McConnell directed traffic and the event drew praise for the calibre of play and plans for next year.
