William J Brimacombe Dies At 62 In Brandon Hospital
William John Brimacombe, well known farmer of the Chumab district, died January 24 1940 in Brandon Hospital at age 62 after an illness of about two years. He was born in Exeter Ontario and came west 45 years ago. He leaves his wife two sons and three daughters, plus three sisters and one brother in Ontario. Funeral from Hamiota United Church to Hamiota cemetery was held Friday with Rev T D Barnett officiating. A L Beaubien appointed to the Senate W H Josey. Prof McDonald of St Francois Xavier College Nova Scotia to speak at a later afternoon broadcast. Crandall United Church held its annual meeting with two elders elected Mrs L Dickie and B H Doupe O W Lewis re-elected as elder.
