Chumah Congregation Reports Solid Year and Offhand Meeting
The Chumah Congregational meeting at the Andrew home on Wednesday January 14 heard Rev. J Wilson lead the session. Treasurer W R Kirk reported the Charge in good financial standing with income 1042 19 expenditures 655 29 and a year end balance of 386 90. The Sunday School W M S Young Peoples Union Mission Band and Cradle Roll noted fair yearly progress. The pastor praised the congregation for its work.

YP U Plans Further Improvements and February Meeting
The YP U notes year end work and urges greater effort toward missionary aims. Exterior church painting occurred in 1947 and more improvements are planned. The January meeting at Irvine Lewis’s home on January 19 with twelve members was led by Betty Amy’s group. The February 9 gathering will be at Mrs. Mirk’s home.

Mrs Swanson demonstrated fascinators and Mrs Killoh prepared a Robt Burns paper. The year program was read and adopted with a concert and dance sponsorship in view. One new member joined on January 30. The play The Were Obstinate Family is being prepared by Mrs Killah and Mrs Obstinate with Allen assisting.
