The Kamiota YPS met Tuesday with over 70 attendees. Dr R E McCurlagh led devotions. The Literary committee staged a lively debate on whether today’s youths spend leisure time as wisely as 25 years ago, with negative side prevailing by two points after a sharp rebuttal.

A sizable audience attended a Wednesday evening debate at Hamiota United Church. Flying Freighter Makes First Trip Across Manitoba
JU 52 cargo plane, the world’s largest freight aircraft, makes its maiden mission with a four man crew. Chartered by Hudson’s Bay Company and recently acquired by Connatan Airways, it freights supplies to northern Manitoba and returns with cargoes of fare, based at Cold Lake on the Sherridan branch before a month in the north and return to Winnipeg headquarters.
