Women’s Institute Meeting at Nora McConnell Home
The Women's Institute met January 6 at Mrs. Nora McConnell's home with six members. The group approved donations to Boy's Home and Rolling Dale School, plus small gifts to March of Dimes and other societies, elected officers for 1975, planned an April fundraiser for the McConnell Community Centre, and set February 4 as the next meeting date with new members welcome.

UCW Annual Meeting Held at Oak River
The UCW met January 7 with prayers led by Mrs. F Paddock. Reports showed 1974 was spiritually and financially healthy. donations supported Northern Two Way Radio, Prairie Christian Training Centre and Victor House. Five hundred dollars was slated to Church Board. total receipts were 1824.75. 1975 officers were elected led by Pres. F Paddock.

Senior Citizens Hold Meeting in Hamiota Hall
The Hamiota Senior Citizens Club held its winter session on November 20, 1974, with President Mrs. Archie Black. Members planned 3 or 4 Bingo games on the last Wednesday of each month and various other games while welcoming new joiners. The Christmas meeting featured carols, a lunch, a gift drawing, and donations from local businesses. Next meeting set for January 8, 1975, with gatherings every Wednesday at 2 p.m.

John Gunson of Park Residence Hamiton was guest of honor at a December 7 1974 birthday dinner at Crandall Community Centre. Forty two family members attended a Christmas themed hall with a 95 shaped cake and a blessing by Grandpa. Grandchildren and relatives from Cranbrook Crooked Creek Rockville Deloraine Glenboro Rivers Winnipeg and Brandon sent greetings and gifts.
