School Board Elects New Officers and Discusses Grill
The first meeting of the year elected Mr. Murray as chairman of the Board for 1910 with J. H Honck leading the grounds committee and Jos McLean heading the building committee. J. Nairn became secretary treasurer. Meetings will be held monthly in the secretary's office. A physical grill was proposed and approved to start this session.

Oakner Congregation Holds Annual Meeting and Celebrates Gift
The Oakner congregation held its annual meeting on Monday after noon January 10 with broad attendance. Reports show eleven new members, a total of forty five, and a gift of a communion set to the church by Mr. and Mrs. John Raddle Sr. Officials note a little over 1,500 raised, all debts paid on church shed and organ, and a $20 deficit in ordinary revenue leading to higher givings to fund an extra £6 to the pastor's stipend.
