Local girl wins Canada Millennium Scholarship for Charlene Mathison
Charlene Mathison, daughter of Murray and Lynda Mathison, has been awarded a Canada Millennium Scholarship worth 3000 dollars. The University of Manitoba student is in her third year studying Occupational Therapy, after earning a 1996 degree in Physical Education. The program represents part of a national effort by the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation to reward academic achievement with more than 75,000 awards totaling over 215 million dollars.
