Kenton Manitoba’s Bill McMillan bought two steers to support the local 4-H clubs. At Regina Agribition the Limousin won the Carcass Class with 81.1 points, earning a $10,000 prize sponsored by Hoechst Canada and a donated carcass for the Grain Show Awards Banquet. Local breeders Cam Kent and others assisted, and McMillan hopes the win boosts Kenton Limousin breeders' prospects.

Golden Age Club Christmas Afternoon at Miniota Hall
The Golden Age Club met Wednesday December 18 at Miniota Hall with twenty seven members and many visitors. The U C W hosted the program opening with Rae Armitage announcing a Grade 1 and kindergarten dance. The event featured U C Choir led by Margaret Taylor on piano, another Grade 1 2 3 dance, a skit by Maud Leland and Sandra Nash, readings by Mrs Cable Maud Leland and Margaret Leary, and group carols. Evelyn Barrett pinned posies on Rose Finkbeiner and Mabel Stowe for age, and on Al Armitage and Amos Gurr for the men. Supper followed with Grace sung. Jean Cook thanked the ladies as she leaves for London Ontario to visit her granddaughter for Christmas. No December birthdays. Children received oranges on leaving for school.
