The Ladies Aid and WMS guests of Mrs N Hodgson plan a Word’s Day of Prayer service in the church at 2 30 Friday March 8. School girls and district women invited. A local bonspiel draws 23 rinks with three from Isabella two from Hamiota Lavinia and other local teams. A L Decker’s rink won the Grand Challenge Cup in the Hamiota bonspiel.

The Ham iota group held its February meeting with 25 members in the church parlors. Don Fraser agreed to report on his trip to the Old Country at the next meeting, while readings by Mary Mathison and Clarence Fraser followed. A social hour featured games and a debated topic on long versus short skirts ending in a draw. The nominating committee announced for March 3rd attendance.
