Hamiota events include a March 11 variety show at Hamiota Theatre and a February 20 World Day of Prayer at Hamiota United Church. Local bands, dances, raffles, bazaars, and fund drives occur around town, with messages of gratitude and civic support for flood relief and the Crippled Children’s Fund. Eighteen local bonspiels and multiple rink events highlight winter social life.
Visitors to the Pangman home included Griffith Wal top Webb and Baird from Me Agley who played in the ladies bonspiel at Hamiota. McConnell girls lost 2-1 at Cardale while the intermediate team lost 8-4 to Hamiota. Gordon Killoh leaves Sunday for Guelph to attend the Canadian Short horn Association meeting. Roberta Watt and Don Purdey from Brandon spent the weekend at Watt's home. Stanbridge returns from Groose Isle. Mrs Cal Harvey stayed in Bradwardine. Mr and Mrs Jas Scott visited Plumas at W Scott's home.

A bonspiel is set for Wednesday March 4 with contact Barry Strickland or Bill Brooks before noon March 3. Born in England Elizabeth Rockley 14 February 1872 and Anne Hamblin 22 February 1878. Came to Canada in 1907.
Paid up members of the Hamivota Athletic Association list additions and a call for 60 more names. Residents urged to contribute in February to any executive member.
