CKX Radio Brandon Manitoba owned by Western Manitoba Broadcasters Ltd will broadcast at 10 000 watts day and night from February. The project includes two 220 foot towers a new ground system and tuning gear at a cost of 50 000 dollars. The transmitter sits 4 miles west of Brandon on Highway 1A and will increase nighttime power tenfold.
