U C W Unit No 3 met January 23 at Mrs Gordon Smith home with 18 members. 4H CLOTHING CLUB NEWS Hamiota Sew-Sews March plans
The Hamiota Sew-Sews met in the Church Parlor on January 30. Nine girls spoke on Conservation and others will speak February 1. They schedule a St Patrick's Tea and Home Cooking Sale on March 17 at the Fraternal Hall and will send a chorus and a solo to the Annual 4-H Amateur program on February 9. A color-skirt discussion for Achievement Night was held and Miss English, Home Economist, will visit February 19.

Miss Lorraine Anderson bride elect of January 27 was honored at a shower Friday evening January 19 at Hamiota United Church. She was escorted to her chair by Mrs Barry Miller as Miss Edith Kirk read the address. Beverley and Lerry Pedlow wore Scotch outfits and presented gifts while Lorraine thanked friends in a violin flavored solo. A dainty lunch was served by the committee with Mrs Agnes Pateman and Mrs Ed Hudson pouring tea. Over fifty guests signed the guest book with Mrs Norman Kirk in charge.
