Interpretive trail at Rivers gets green light
The town of Rivers will start building an interpretive trail along Highway 25 from the town to Rivers Lake beach, using CN Rail land and a $15,000 Manitoba Hydro grant. The three mile route will allow hiking biking and possibly cross country skiing, with nature interpretation and an outdoor classroom at the abandoned gravel pit. The project aids recreation tourism and safety for youth, with Town support and involvement by Friends of Rivers Lake and local officials.
