Justice Duff of the final Court of Appeal rules that a farmer's son, an experienced farm hand on a 150 acre Ontario farm, should remain exempt from military service to prevent diminution of agricultural production. The decision cites national interest and labor shortages, with exemption until employment ends. Ottawa report dated December 8, 1917.
