Birdtail River School Division fills six positions
The Birdtail River School Division No. 38 held a regular session on Dec. 10 naming six hires including Lenore Williams at Foxwarren School for a .50 term as custodian and Regina Derechanchuk as a full time teacher at Birtle Elementary. Adrienne Burdett and Deena Campbell were added as teacher assistants and other staffing actions plus by laws and an action plan were approved. The next BRSD meeting is Jan. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Division Office in Crandall.

Regional Chief of Staff position open at MRHA
The Marquette Regional Health Authority board met Dec 17 in Shoal Lake. L.J. Stevenson was appointed to the Brandon Regional Health Authority Board to represent MRHA in inter regional deliberations. The board approved the job description and invited physicians to express interest in the part time position. The regional chief of staff will liaise between Medical Staff Health Authority Board and the Executive on medical and administrative matters.
