Hamiota L O L No 1513 held its annual election Tuesday December 1st electing W Master T J Caves and other officers for the coming year. Hamiota Royal Black Precessory No 523 elected W Sir Kt Preceptor A F Nesbitt and a full slate. Sons of England Lodge White Oak No 238 elected Worthy President A F Nesbit and a large turnout. Banquet plans noted for January March 1907 and a toast to Mr R A Hickling with a bronze mantle clock gifted at his departure.

Hamiota Votes For Municipal Telephones In Local Election

The Hamiota municipal election drew strong turnout with a clear majority approving Municipal Owned Telephones. J. H. Houck won the Reeve seat by five votes, carrying wards 4 5 and 6 while rival ward majorities carried wards 12 and 3. The full poll results follow.

Election results show Frazer and Pedlow elected in ward

The report states Frazer Murray and Pedlow won seats while Jackson trailed by seven votes. In Ward 4 S G Brown and Rob Beamish contested with Beamish winning by a fourteen vote margin. Shoal Lake opposed the Telephone by law and Miniote and Dek River supported it heavily. Officials have yet to confirm some ward totals.

Resignation of City Assessor Leads to Fill‑In Call

The resignation of H. W. Gray, appointed assessor by the municipal council, was accepted and applications to fill the position will be received at the council’s first meeting in 1907.
