The Hospital Ladies' Aid requests gramophone records or loaned records for donation. People with records are asked to phone the matron. donations are greatly appreciated.
The Hamiota Hospital Ladies' Aid held its annual meeting reporting 1931 officers and district reps. A twenty member active group noted purchases for the hospital, kitchen stove, and dining room repairs, with receipts of 343.23 and expenses totaling 169.65 leaving a 228.58 balance.
Mrs A Taylor and Sons express thanks for sympathy and help during mourning. A recent concert for the Children’s Aid Society at McConnell’s Hall drew a crowded house and netted 10.90. An auction sale on Saturday raised 111.00, with overall concert and sale totals and donations listed as 350.80.
The U.P Society of McConnell held a Sunday service led by Miss Grace McConnell of Decker who spoke on the Winnipeg convention. The YP Class ran a November attendance competition with the boys prevailing, while the girls hosted a social at Mrs. J Richardson's home with many boys attending and a lunch served.
The Annual Meeting of the Shareholders and Patrons of the Hamiota Consumers' Co operative will be held in the Orange Hall Hamiota on Saturday December 13 at 2 p.m. to receive the Auditor's Report elect Directors for the coming year and consider any other business.
