Hamiota old hall memories and a 80th birthday note
Readable items recall Violet Nicholls turning 80 in Hamiota and a 1899 grand opening of McConnell's Hall. The hall, central to local life for 56 years, burned in 1955. Orange Hall became Fraternal Hall in 1960 and a new Community Hall arose. Also notes on a weather balloon, letters, and a thought for the week.
