Linda Irwin Wins Hamiota Town Council By-Election
Linda Irwin won the Hamiota Town Council by-election held Wednesday August 25 with 217 votes. Stan Coupe received 116, David Duncan 54, and Tammie McConnell 39 in a four candidate race. Turnout reached 58 percent as the seat awaits Irwin at the September 1 council meeting following Dwayne Campbell's resignation for health reasons.
