Canada Exports and Grain Figures Amid 1930s Trade Data

For the year ending June 1934 Canada shipped 35.6 million dollars of farm products to the United States. In 1934 there were 2,381 stores run by 4, food chain companies with sales near 104.6 million dollars. The 1935 figures show 91 companies operating 2,398 stores with sales about 1.24 million, higher than 1934. Canada plays a prominent role in the World Poultry Congress, to be held in Berlin in 1936. Eleven months ended June 1935 export totals include 136,216,875 bushels of oats, 4,955,078 bushels of wheat flour, 13,958,902 bushels of barley, 13,534,088 bushels of oats, and 912,545 bushels rye.
