The Community Alive project completed a two week event in Hamiota with a Day Camp for 148 youths in crafts games and activities. Evening programs included visits with seniors a film festival a record hop and a community wiener roast. Total attendance reached 159 with thanks to Don Hudson and Mary Corley among others.

Kerr School Cairn Dedication Honors Pioneer Families
Mrs Mabel Arthur and Mrs Inez Lindsay unveiled halves of the Kerr School Cairn in Hamiota district to honor pioneers of the first school and post office.
