Viva la Blanshard Centennial Opens in Oak River
Oak River hosts the Blanshard Centennial July 14 15 16 1984 with windy opening ceremonies, donations, plaques, and a centennial song. Presentations honor John Scott Roy Sparrow and centenarian Mrs Cathrine Gourlay as days feature worship, bands, bread baking, a parade, a pancake breakfast, and a soil of memories celebrating Manitoba’s Breadbasket heritage.
