Our binder twine drive progresses with another carload ordered. Some members have not yet replied. The message stresses that success with twine and all commodities depends on quantity handled.

Despite widespread unemployment Retail Cooperatives added 14 000 to payroll. Cooperative retail trade rose from 1 045 000 000 in 1926 to 1 120 000 000 in 1929. The amount for distribution as dividends in 1929 was about 6 000 000. It was distributed among 378 309 cooperators. Ponder over the above and see if it does not pay to cooperate.
