An 8 year old boy Leonard King died after being run over by a gravel wagon in Ham iota last Friday evening. He was helped at Jos Hanna's house by Miss E Hanna until Dr E Tisdale from Kenton arrived, but died about two hours later. Survived by his parents and one sister, his funeral was held Sunday at Zion United Church with interment in Hamiota cemetery.
The death of J A Fraser, 69, a Manitoba pioneer who resided at Somerset, Winnipeg General Hospital after a long illness. He came west in 1873, lived in High Bluff, Hamiota, Miami, then Someree where he ran the Fraser hotel. Survived by widow, son in Seattle, daughter in Winnnipeg, brother in Hamiota, sister in Portage la Prairie.
