A Sunday afternoon blaze gutted the main buildings of Hamiota Co-Operative Limited after starting in a stack of 1500 pounds of binder twine. The fire spread to the brick building. some stock and oil barrels were saved and the safe and books remained intact. Damage estimated at $8000, insured with Wawanesa. The firm thanked helpers and announced continued supply of staples while arranging coal deliveries before harvest.
