Manitoba VLT plebiscites to be held with municipal elections
Manitoba voters will decide on video lottery terminals in their communities through nonbinding plebiscites run with municipal elections starting Oct 28. The seven member Gaming Control Commission reviewed policy and heard 124 submissions before recommending standard questions and a 50 percent plus one threshold for acceptance.

Equestrian Camp Offered By Midwest Recreation District
The Midwest Recreation District announces an equestrian camp in two six day sessions August 9-14 and August 16-21 at Hamiota Municipal Park. Pat Kleemola and Leanne Gregory lead riders nine and up with lessons from basic equitation to advanced techniques. Camp includes meals, lodging, tack care, and optional horse leasing, with a September 3D Barrel Racing event open to all and a $250 camp fee plus leasing costs.
