Allan Anderson reports from Brampton Ontario on a Jersey cattle sale at B H Bull and Son farm. The event drew 600 buyers from four continents, 47 purebred Jerseys sold, with one cow reaching 10 600 dollars and the total proceeds 58 575 dollars. The Roving Reporter airs on CBC Trans-Canada network.

Hamiota Reaches Finals at Reston Fair
Nine ball players arrived at Reston on Thursday after mishaps. They beat Virden 3-1 in their first game and Oak River 3-1 in the second, then Belgrade 6-1 to reach the finals. Lefty Mathison pitched all three games, five innings each, with Harvey Duncan joining for the final. Antler, Sask. defeated the team 3-0 in the finals.

Lavinia McConnell Hosts Tea for Bride Elect Muriel
Mrs W A McConnell entertained Saturday with a tea for her daughter Muriel bride elect of August 5 1955. Mr and Mrs E Johns and Joyce and Mrs A Knight spent the weekend in Winnipeg with Joyce remaining to take a practical nursing course. Miss Margret McWhirter returned home after several weeks in Winnipeg. Mrs C Cochran came home last weekend. Mrs Foxton of Hamiota and Miss Beverley Johnston of Shoal Lake visited the Foxton home.
