Lavinia Mr and Mrs Bert Cockran and Larry of Niagara Falls Ontario were visiting at the home of Mr and Mrs Wilkie Cockran. Mrs Hunter of Winnipeg spent the past week with Mr and Mrs Ball. Mr and Mrs Phillips of Birtle visited Mr and Mrs G Flynn. Beverley McConnell attended Vocational School in Hamivota last week. Lynda Knight stayed in Hamiota with Sheila and Barbara Dale. Mr R Knight of Brandon spent the weekend at his home.
Laurel Margraret Jane Crandall and Melvin Alexander Angus wed at the Crandall home on July 7. The ceremony featured Laurel in powder blue, attended by Miss Marlene Smith as bridesmaid and Wallace Henderson as best man. A three tier cake and reception followed with Marion Henderson and others assisting. The newlyweds plan to reside in Hamiota.
