Thistle Invasion Sparks Garden Confession
Bill Hall, Lewiston Tribune columnist, recalls spotting a half grown thistle two feet tall hidden among azaleas and dogwood in a shaded garden. He explains how thistles grow fast, evade weeders, and threaten the beauty of a lush yard. He notes cats and color perception affect noticing intruders. He ends by inviting reader letters to address future garden battles.
