The Sabin oral polio program starts April 30 in Virden Health Unit area with morning school child and teacher doses, afternoon clinics for mothers and babies, and evening sessions for adults. Murray Mathison Wins Calf Scramble Title at Manitoba Winter Fair
Young Hamiton resident Murray Mathison wins the Calf Scramble at the Manitoba Winter Fair, one of eleven winners receiving a Labatt sponsored certificate for a purebred heifer. Normally ten winners are named, but an extra certificate was awarded after an earlier calf was recaptured. The winning calves will show in Labatt Continuation Class at the 1963 fair to judge a year of calving and rearing.

A social and business meeting of Christ Church Junior Auxiliary was held in the church crypt on Monday afternoon April 16. Tea and lunch were served by Mrs. W. Keager and Mrs. K. Castle. The group displayed Stripe and Badge work including a South American study scrapbook. The nine girls plan for the J A Festival on May 26 at Minnedosa and continue work on geography and South America.
