Notice is given that an application will be made to the Parliament of Canada for a private bill to incorporate Boundary Pipeline Corporation to acquire, construct and operate pipelines for transporting natural and artificial gas across Alberta Saskatchewan Manitoba. The route begins near Calgary and proceeds east along the Canadian Pacific Railway main line through Swift Current Moose Jaw Regina Brandon Portage la Prairie to Winnipeg with branches to Saskatoon Prince Albert and Selkirk. Community rally funds memorial rink project
In a 1951 letter from Hamiota Echo the community credits many groups for creating the Memorial Community Rink. It notes volunteers, Ladies' Curling Club, Ladies' Legion and Women's Institute meals raising over $1,000 and asserts a total project cost near $30,000 with $3,260 net profit from the 1950-51 season turned to the rink fund.

Christ Church Hamiota Welcomes Miss Wilmot for Sunday School Reopening
Miss F Wilmot youth worker for the Diocese visited Christ Church Hamiota to organize a reopened Sunday School. The first class met Sunday under her supervision with many youths present. She spoke at the evening service on parental help and regular Sunday attendance at 11 am. A social hour followed at Mr and Mrs Jas Clark home with lunch by Christ Church Evening Branch.
