The parish of Christ Church announces a Sunday program on April 27 1924 with morning Islam morning services and a special service for children. Parents are invited. An 7 p.m. evening prayer features a sermon titled The Work of Christ covering his Prophetical Priestly and Kingly work. All are welcomed.
Rev Geo Lockhart leads Easter Sunday with the sermon The Worth While and the Appeal to Action. Special choir music 1210, Sunday School and Bible Class, orchestra, and a 3 pm preaching service. No evening service. Sunday School at 2 pm. SCOTIA preaching at 7 pm. All are invited.
Zion Methodist Church outlines a Sunday schedule with 11 a m Divine Worship titled The Pleading Note in Prayer. A 12 15 p m Sunday School talk to children follows, with 154 attendance noted. Evening service at 7 p m discusses Is the telling of a falsehood ever justifiable. CHUMAH Sunday School at 2 p m, Bible Class at 2 p m, Divine Worship at 3 p m. The Patmore Nursery Cr offers prizes at the Horticultural Fair on August 15 and 16 for best collections of flowers and vegetables grown from Patmore seeds. Awards include 300 for best flowers and 200 for best vegetables. Empty packages accompany exhibits at the Court of Revision in Hamiota Village. The court will meet in the Council Chamber on Wednesday April 30 at 10 am.
Notice in Neepawa District warns that after May 21 1924 duplicate title 19606 may be dispensed with if no objections arise. The title for parcels 3 and 4 in Block 5, Hamilta townsite is claimed lost or destroyed. Registrar J A Shearer dates the notice April 9 1924.
Village council met with all members present. Minutes read and adopted. Finance committee recommended payment of repairs, rent, salaries, and taxes to various local vendors and officials. Council adjourned after approving the finance report and issuing cheques.
The annual meeting of the Hamiota Baseball Club was held on the 16th inst with a good representative crowd. Officers elected include Hon. Pres. J. H. McConnell, President B. R. McNaught, Vice-Pres. A Kerr Lee, Treas. R V Smith. The club will enter a Senior Team in the Mid West League and also form a juniors league. The Mid Western League will hold its annual meeting soon.
John McLaren a leading pioneer of the Kine more District died at his son’s home after a two month illness. He arrived in Manitoba in 1882 with his family and helped run the Layoff post office in early days. Survived by his daughter Mrs Hugh McLean Kenton and five sons, his wife and son Lawrence predeceased him. He rests in Greenwood cemetery.
The Rural Municipality Auditor's reports are now in the hands of the Secretary-Treasurer. The event on Thursday July 17 will feature a 25cc bananapack sale at Halls' Hamida Fair.

On Toursday evening local Girl Guides gave a delightful concert at Mc Connell's Hall. The program featured solos duets readings club swinging a short sketch and all numbers were splendid. Proceeds totaled 93 00 and reflect credit on Guide Leader Miss McConnell and the Guides.
