Red Cross Campaign Extended in Hamiota Drives Donations
The Canadian Red Cross Society extends its fund drive to month end. Manitoba has raised about 80 percent of its quota, with Hamiota at $494.00 of a $608.00 1957 goal. Treasurer Daniel G. Levenick urges locals to donate at his office or Venables Hardware before month end to push Hamiota over the top.

Mrs J D Caldwell Honored At Surprise Church Party
Mrs G Bray and Mrs J Coombs escorted Mrs Caldwell to a church surprise party on April 16. A corsage was pinned, a clock radio and black diamond ring presented, and jewellery given by the Ladies Legion. Speeches praised her community work as friends sang and a light luncheon followed.
