Communities share services across towns and counties
A sprawling Alberta clipping describes intermunicipal sharing: Burdett and Bow Island will share a utility operator with Phil Strom running the water plant two hours daily for Burdett and the rest for Bow Island. Baldur groups hire Shayne Hartwell to coordinate ambulance service for BGTW Shared Services. Camrose will share Wetaskiwin’s electrical inspector Bill McAllister across one county and eight villages. The Barrhead Leader notes a town county marriage as negotiations unfold over outstanding debentures and differing tax rates.
