Grads have better prospects says Statistics Canada studies
Two studies show completing high school improves unemployment risk and earnings. The Leaving School survey of 9 460 youths found 74 percent of graduates pursued advanced education versus 17 percent of dropouts. It links dropouts to higher crime risk and lower life quality, while the Adult Education and Training Survey ties later learning to prior attainment, age and gender.
