Ss DRUG STORE promotes spring needs with moth crystals and sprays, disinfectants, and health items for chicks including Avalate Chick Tablets Sulmet and Chick Zone. The store lists sun glasses for all and farm supplies with veterinary brands and vaccines now in stock for equine and cattle uses.
All claims against the estate of Lexander Sheffield Skinner, farmer, late of Hamiota Manitoba, must be sent to the undersigned at Hamiota Manitoba on or before May 28, 1956. Dated at Hamiota Manitoba April 13, 1956. Daniel G. Levenick solicitor for administrator.
Elizabeth Ann McLellan formerly of Hamiota Manitoba a married woman deceased. The notice states her death occurred in Hamiota Manitoba and the executor appointed is deted at Hamiota Manitoba on or before the 28th day of May in the year AD.

Golf Club meeting April 9, daffodil tea, hockey accounts, musical festival dates, school dinner meetings, dances, church opening, and a Red Cross campaign total of 604 dollars. The Easter Thankoffering meeting of the Evening Auxiliary was hosted by Mrs Wm Pittendreigh on April 10 with 46 ladies in attendance. Mrs G Smith opened with the poem Bread is never enough. Devotional rites were led by Ev Pittendreigh Eunice Brooks Alice Russell and Wanda Chalaturnyk. Mrs Luther Johnston dedicated their share of the base. A travel talk on India by Rev Douglas closed the event with a summary of his work.
The W A Presbyterial meeting met at Oakner Church on April 14. Poor road conditions reduced attendance with about 55 attending the dinner catered by the Oakner W A. A silver tea followed the afternoon session. The next OakInez W A meeting is set for May 10.
Marion Routledge reports on students returning to school in Oarner Teen Town. The piece notes efforts to appear upbeat after a long break and describes the atmosphere as pupils settle in.
Students celebrate Sharon agh winning the Easter art event and note exams in June. Maureen Godlen was chosen for a Winnipeg trip but the July United Sem in handy seems uncertain. A health call on April 11th involved Dr Dupont and a nurse.
