Department of Agriculture advises vaccinating all Manitoba horses due to wartime power needs. Rexall store announces good stock of chicken vaccine on hand, refrigerated, and will maintain supply throughout the vaccinating season for farmers.
A local supplier advertises formaldehyde, Ceresan, Leytosan and other standard seed treatments, inviting customers to purchase these items.
The letter from Edie of Hamiota protests spring snow melt and rain overflow running along the street into a Post Office corner manhole. The writer urges the drainage committee to open drains or install a culvert to Wilfred McIntosh’s property. A ratepayer adds concern about school water runoff into private yards.
Cecil Lamont was named vice president of The North West Line Elevators Association after a directors meeting announced by president W W Tyron. The group includes 3400 grain elevators and coal yards across Western Canada and at Great Lakes and Pacific Coast terminals with 365 million bushels capacity.
