Manitoba Faces Record Storm Causing Higher Red River Floods
Manitoba Natural Resources warns last weekend's record snowstorm will push Red River peak stages 1.5 to 3 feet above 1996 under normal weather, with a 10 percent chance of 3.5 to 5.5 feet above last year under abnormal conditions. Rings dikes will be raised around Red River Valley towns including St Adolphe, Dominion City, St Jean, Letellier, and Emerson as crests are forecast for late April to early May.
